Pre Natal / Post Natal Training
One of the most amazing things any human can do is to create another. Whether you are a soon-to-be mum, new mum, second time round or more mum! Exercising antenatal and postpartum is important to keep you fit, strong and healthy during your pregnancy, birth & beyond. Personal training with a pre and post-natal specialist ensures you are in caring and capable hands.
What to do and not to do!
If you are planning on exercising during or after your pregnancy, it is important to be aware of what is going on inside your body and how your training should be adapted accordingly. Some changes might be obvious, however there are many less obvious adaptations that you may not be aware of. It is important that you understand and respect the changes your body is going through. Working with a pre and post-natal specialist personal trainer ensures your pre/post-natal training is safe and suitable as well as effective!
Training Goals:
Fat Loss & Toning
What’s your body goal? Whether it is losing fat, toning up, gaining muscle and shape… your personal trainer can help you to achieve your body goals. Building you a stronger and healthier physique, as well as mind-muscle connection, physical discipline, control and confidence along the way.
Most body goals relate to changing your body composition (the proportion of your body made up from fat mass vs non-fat mass). More often than not, we refer to our ‘weight’ when what we really mean is our fat! A healthy body fat percentage is important for your body to function optimally and has many benefits e.g. balancing hormone levels, improving reproductive health, improving metabolism etc… Together we will look at your body composition, lifestyle and work out the best plan to get to your goal.
If you’re looking to gain muscle strength or size, then understanding how your body works and how to implement this into your training is fundamental to your results. Rep ranges, weight, exercise choice, order, volume, speed… there are many things to consider to make get the most out of your training. Let your personal trainer guide you to the body you deserve. Fitness Training
Want to feel healthier? More energised? Stronger, supple, more stable?
Exercising provides an abundance of benefits to both physical & psychological wellbeing. Regular training reduces your risk of many diseases such as CHD and diabetes, reduces mental health symptoms such as anxiety, helps regulate hormones improving skin, hair, sleep, mood, it boosts metabolism and improves body functioning, balance and circulation to name just a few!
We generally think of fitness in terms of our cardiovascular health (heart & lungs) but ‘fitness’ is an umbrella term that also encompasses our strength, muscular endurance, co-ordination, agility, power, flexibility, mobility and on the non-physical level, our mental health. The greater our level of fitness, the greater our performance.
